This latest movie haul brings together a killer mix of psychological horror, cult classics, and intense thrillers. I picked up Infinity Pool, a wild and unsettling sci-fi horror that really pushes boundaries, along with The Devil’s Rejects, one of the grittiest and most brutal entries in Rob Zombie’s filmography. I also added The Hunt for Red October, a submarine thriller classic that never gets old, plus the underrated psychological horror Monkey Shines. On the more grounded, intense side, Zero Dark Thirty brings that gripping military realism, and rounding it out is the early 2000s supernatural favorite Ghost Ship, which still has one of the most memorable opening scenes ever. Definitely a stacked haul with something from every corner of the genre spectrum.
